24 Sept - Walk Good - The British Library, London, UK

A collage of five diverse people in black and white photographs with a colorful abstract background.

WritersMosaic brings together Corinne Fowler, Roger Robinson, Jonny Pitts, Hannah Lowe, Colin Grant, John Siddique and Angeline Morrison to reflect on the passions that have arisen now that we’re everywhere, flocking to and 'walking good' in green and pleasant lands that once seemed out of bounds.

“For lack of love, the world is dying.
We are unconscious of and separated from each other.”

From the opening lines of the title poem of So: Selected Poems 2011–2021, you could be forgiven for thinking that its author is inclined to melancholy. Yet for John Siddique, poet, author, teacher of spirituality and meditation to millions worldwide, nothing could be further from the truth.

Whether writing, teaching or speaking, Siddique’s mission is to help people find meaning and spirituality in their existence. “I’ve always been interested in life, in being here on the planet – accessing a truth right here,” he said on US radio show Moments with Marianne.

For LitFest, Siddique will focus on two books: So and Signposts of the Spiritual Journey: A Practical Road Map to a Meaningful Life, a non-fiction work that, he says, “just happens to have four of the best poems I’ve ever put to page in it, I feel.”
